Ex-future-girlfriends

From the computer of Arvin Nathanael Chandra

One name comes to my mind, which is Meilisa Husein. Today is her 24th birthday, so happy birthday Mei, wherever you are!

Before anyone ask questions or comments... let me lift up a topic that is very un-Arvin... or perhaps it is.

Ex'es. Ex-girlfriends... or to be more proper, ex-future-girlfriends.

Mantan calon pacar.

In an early online chat with Miss Husein, I brought up a topic regarding ex-future-girlfriends. First, does the term make sense? Second, is it proper to use such terms?

From Mei's point of view, it makes real sense if seen from the guy's point of view. Say he used to have crush on the girl and tried to pursue a steady relationship with her, but after good consideration he decided to not pursue any further.

He and she never became a couple, but mentioning her as a ex-future-girlfriend is quite legal.

Speaking of which, there are a few names I'm gonna mention now which I might or might not mention again in my blog postings in the future.

First... hmmm...

What's the use? I'm married already, to a very wonderful woman, and I'm soon going to be a father (in 23 weeks that is!), and it's not always a good idea to live in the past.

It's just been awhile since I've thought and reflect upon it. Anyway, I'll probably mention my case again sometime in the near future.

Update: Okay, if you're wondering about the names I've mentioned in the labels below, it means I'm going to mention about them sometime in the future.

Labels: , , , , , ,

  • "mantan calon pacar" to me it's not a proper word coz she didn't have the same feeling as you did have for her. I hope other people wont misunderstood when you're using those words.
